Some of the victims, who are hospitalized at undisclosed clinics, said the criminals, numbering about six, all male, climbed the fence of their houses between 2am and 3am.
Residents of Jikwoyi Layout Behind Agwanegede Phase 2, Jikwoyi-Karshi Road are now living in fear.
This followed series of armed robbery attacks on the community.
Between last week and now, there have been three cases of armed robbery attacks, which were backed with raping of young and old women.
Some of the victims, who are hospitalized at undisclosed clinics, said the criminals, numbering about six, all male, climbed the fence of their houses between 2am and 3am.
A resident, who was seriously injured, disclosed that the armed robbers climbed the fence of his building, broke into his room and took his wife away.
They then searched the wardrobe.
He said: “They beat me, took my children to another room and raped my wife and later made away with my belongings.
“We now live in state of fear.”
Another victim, who was said to be visiting her son whose wife was ill, said: “We are hearing that Abuja is calm, totally free from Boko Haram, armed robbery attacks and other vices, but to my surprise, what I am seeing this night is the opposite.”
Residents of the area are now fleeing for safety.
They however appealed on the Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase, to come to their assistance.
They said they still have confidence in the Nigerian Police, particularly in the ability of Arase to bring sanity to the area.
Jikwoyi is about 15 minutes drive to the Force Headquarters in Abuja.
The area has been witnessing underdevelopment because of the insecurity in the neighbourhood.
