EPL: Liverpool 3 – 3 Arsenal [Premier League]
A brilliant clash at Anfield finally ended with a share of the points, as Olivier Giroud and Roberto Firmino both netted twice and the Wales international saved a draw
Joe Allen was Liverpool’s saviour as he smashed home a dramatic late equaliser to hold Arsenal 3-3 in a game the hosts had led twice.
Olivier Giroud may have missed one golden chance, but he more than made up for his mistake with two goals as Arsenal battled from behind on two occasions to lead in injury time.
Robert Firmino scored twice in the opening 20 minutes in a flying start for Jurgen Klopp’s men, while Aaron Ramsey repeated his scoring heroics at the weekend to keep Arsenal in touch.
After equalising and then spurning an open goal, Giroud struck in the second half, but Allen popped up at the last moment to secure a priceless draw for the home team.
