Adele Tells Donald Trump To Stop Playing Her Song In His Election Rallies

Singer Adele has told GOP presidential hopeful Donald Trump to stop using her songs at his campaign rallies.

Fans informed the singer on Twitter that her music was being used by Trump as warm-up music.
Trump has been using ‘Rolling In The Deep’ and ‘Skyfall’ to get his message across, but Adele isn’t having it.

The refrain ‘we could’ve had it all’ from ‘Rolling In The Deep’ and the verse ‘when it crumbles, we will stand tall, face it all together’ seem to be the message Trump is trying to get across.

Ironically, ‘Rolling In The Deep’ also carries the line ‘you’re gonna wish you never had met me’.

‘Adele has not given permission for her music to be used for any political campaigning,’ a spokesman for the singer told The Independent.

Adele isn’t the first singer to tell Trump to stop using her music. Aerosmith lead man Steven Tyler had his lawyers send Trump’s campaign committee a cease-and-desist letter to get him to stop using the band’s hit ‘Dream On’.

The letter said that Trump does ‘not have our client’s permission to use Dream On’ or any of Tyler’s other songs and that it ‘gives the false impression that he is connected with or endorses Mr Trump’s presidential bid’.

REM front man Michael Stipe also objected to Trump using the band’s song ‘It’s the End of the World as We Know It (And I Feel Fine)’. Adele has stayed silent on politics since saying she was a ‘Labour girl’, the UK’s left-leaning party, in 2011.
